Dina Meyer was born in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island in the last year in junior high school. Her sister is younger of Gregory as well as an older brother called Evan. Between the ages of nine between the ages of 16 and 19 the first time she was exposed to the business world was when she started modeling. She began her training in acting at The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York and studied Sanford Meisner's acting techniques along alongside Ron Stetson, for about three years. Sandra Bullock received similar training and also Michael Douglas and Jeff Goldblum. Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton are also amongst the actors who have received the same type of instruction. She got her first part in the soap opera Beverly Hills, 90210, which required her to move away from Los Angeles. In the next couple of months, she was offered the part as Johnny Mnemonic. For this film, she was the one responsible of almost every stunt and demonstrated herself as an accomplished actor. The talent agent she worked with was also representing Matt LeBlanc so, through her agent she was able score a recurring role on Friends.
